Explore Topics of ABS Wheel Speed Sensor
It is a device that is used to sense the speed of the particular wheel at the time of motion.
Wheel speed sensors are required to generate the signals and send this information to the control unit in order to optimize the ABS unit.
ABS sensor is placed at each wheel and also each wheel has a toothed ring which rotates along with the wheel. Each tooth, when it comes in front of the sensor, generates a signal that is sent to the control unit of the ABS mechanism. Based on the data collected, the control unit adjusts the brake fluid pressure to that particular wheel. When the ABS system is engaged, you may feel and/or hear the system operating. The brake pedal may even pulse momentarily.
