Ignition Wire (High Tension Cable)
|Explore Topics of Ignition Wire (High Tension Cable)
High tension cable is a cable, used for supplying high voltage to the spark plugs.
It is required to safely supply the high voltage of the secondary coil to the spark plug without any loss or damage.
To supply the high voltage from secondary winding to distributor and from the distributor to the spark plug, a high tension cable is used. The conductor around the copper wire is used in construction of HT cables; over which a thin coating of a semi-conductive material is overlapped and insulation is extruded. To provide strength and flexibility to the cable, a glass fiber is provided over the inner insulation layer.
